"Hualien Charity House" was established by the government in 3rd Feb. 1948, in 1976 renamed as "Hualien Residential Care for the elderly", in 1999 renamed as "Eastern Region Senior Citizens’ Home, Ministry of the Interior, ROC", and governed by Ministry of the Interior, providing services for Ilan, Hualien and Taitung three countries.
